A bulletproof Car vehicle can have various capabilities that does not range he whole capability to guns from all directions or parts of the vehicle. Nor bombs. A truely armored vehicle has a bomb proof flooring, armor in all the paneling for complete threat protection and even stuff for the sake of being able to drive away from threats and stopping them with countermeasures.
The only actually bulletproof vehicle is a tank. Even APCs and IFVs are not able to withstand heavy bullets like 12.7mm and 14mm from the sides and rear. Depending on model of course. But most armored vehicles are only truely bullet proof from the front.
And no bullet proof car is actually bullet proof that is pretty much guaranteed. Tanks are bullet proof, and pretty much most other things proof except dedicated anti tank weapons.
“Bulletproof car ” is not a military term, because it’s vague and misleading. Bullets do not all have the same power. Which is why neither vehicle of personal armour has a rating which is called “bulletproof” but different protection levels. Also for something to be truly proof, it has to be so all over, not just the front. Which is the case with most armored vehicles anyway.
