Switzerland Certificate Legalization

Switzerland is one of the member countries of the Hague Apostille Convention. Being a member country, an apostille will be sufficient in most cases, when it needs to be used in other member states. The Federal Chancellery is the responsible office for issuing authentications, certifications, legalizations and apostille in Switzerland.

Switzerland certificate legalization is a longer process compared to apostille. Attestation is required when you need to use the documents outside of Switzerland in any of the non-member countries of the Apostille Convention. UAE is not a member to this convention.

Educational documents issued from Switzerland need to be legalized/attested first from the required offices in Switzerland first. Educational documents will be authenticated and attested by the Notary public, Federal Chancellery and the embassy of the destination country. Tranlsation may be required depending on where it is going to be used.
